Founded in upstate New York by Guitarist Thomas LaFond & Vocalist Kalyn Pembridge. Jason Bertone joined in 2016 as well alongside Nick Carter(Violin) rounding out a lyrical & supportive string section. Banshee Tree has supported & played alongside Vince Herman(Leftover Salmon), Bonnie Paine & Dan Rodriguez(Elephant Revival), Tom Hagerman(Devotchka), Taarka, Gipsy Moon, Nick Forester(Hot Rize), Russell Batiste JR, Joe Krown, Walter “Wolf-man” Washington, Dylan Perillo Orchestra, Grande Orquestra Navare, Cabinet, and many others.

With Kalyn’s departure from the band In 2017, Banshee Tree shifted to a high energy electric sound, while still retaining the love of early jazz. Michelle Pietrafitta Joined In 2017 and has since added her tactful drumming as well as vocal harmonies. Since they have played Colorado’s Beanstalk 2017 and Arise Music Festival 2017.

Currently located in the Front Range, Banshee Tree has quickly developed a reputation as one of Colorado’s most multifaceted young bands. Combining the sounds of acoustic instruments with a diverse blend of EDM,Jam,& Early Jazz. Thomas LaFond’s intrepid lyrics & compositions serve as a platform for Hot Swing, Pop Folk, and deep house grooves. Fans of Gogol Bordello, Caravan Palace, and Django Reinhardt will appreciate this driving, earthy acoustic dance music.
